Aberdeen Township Police Arrest Aggravated Sexual Assault Suspect
The arrest comes days after another arrest made in a similar case.
ABERDEEEN - The Aberdeen Township Police Department has announced the arrest of Julio Ozoria-Bencosme following a five-month investigation. Ozoria-Bencosme, a Carteret man, is charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a minor.
Due to the sensitive nature of the case involving a juvenile, details are limited at this time. This comes days after the arrest of Benjamin Pessin, a 43-year-old Philadelphia man currently being held and the Monmouth County Jail in Freehold.
Per our friends at The Patch, Aberdeen Police say Pessin abducted the two girls in Philadelphia and drove them to Aberdeen Township. At some point, he is accused of sexually assaulting either one or both of the girls.
The Aberdeen Township Police Department is seeking additional information about the Ozoria-Bencosme case. Additionally, they are also reaching out to individuals who may have had previous encounters of a similar nature with the defendant.
The community is encouraged to come forward with any relevant information. Detective Osadacz can be reached via email at Ron.Osadacz@aberdeennj.org or by phone at 732-583-4200, ext. 206.
