"Legal action is on the table" : Fegler slams false poll allegedly tied to Rep. Pallone
The political newcomer is not backing down from the entrenched career politician.
Highlands - Scott Fegler, Republican Candidate for Congressional District 6, has issued the following statement regarding a poll allegedly tied to career politician Frank Pallone that made false claims about Mr. Fegler's employer and his political views:
An online poll being sent to District 6 voters is spreading lies about me in a desperate attempt to mislead voters and tarnish my reputation. If this is the work of Congressman Pallone's campaign, then he should immediately disavow these falsehoods and issue a formal apology. If it is not, then he should make crystal clear that these are lies and should be roundly denounced.
The voters of District 6 are hardworking people who deserve honest representation in Congress. Their chance to achieve the American Dream has been ripped away from them under President Biden and Vice-President Harris as Congressman Pallone delivers their legislative agenda. While diverse media outlets from around the state have asked me to discuss my positions and vision for District 6, Congressman Pallone has dodged them.
I will happily share my views with any person and any group, at any time and any place -- but what I will not do is deliberately tarnish a man's reputation out of a lust for power. That's what career politicians like Frank Pallone do.
Let me be clear: I will not stand for this, and legal action is on the table should Congressman Pallone be tied to this poll.
The contents of the poll can be found on Fegler's X page (formerly Twitter). Further information about Mr. Fegler's campaign can be viewed at Fegler2024.com.
