Middletown Board of Ed. Candidates Take Aim at Trenton in New Ad
The Putting Children First team launches a digital ad recounting their historic victory and policy wins as well as their vision for the future.
Middletown - Most do not think a Board of Education race is deserving of an ad. Then again, most people are not as committed to their cause as Middletown’s Putting Children First Team comprised of current Board President Frank Capone, Vice President Jacqueline Tobacco, and community advocate Caterina Skalaski.
Harkening back to the pandemic era that saw lockdowns, learning loss, and mental health issues rise among New Jersey youth, the video tells the story of Capone and Tobacco’s grassroots efforts, 2020 landslide victory, and policy victories. Efforts to reopen ahead of the state, invest in school security, and make strategic investments in behavioral health and learning specialists are highlighted, as well as the inflection point for Skalaski, a mom of three, to enter the race.
