Scott Fegler to Rep. Pallone: Time's Up
The Highlands businessman launches bid against "most ineffective career politician."
Highlands - Scott Fegler, a successful millennial businessman and lifelong resident of Central Jersey's 6th Congressional District decided something had to be done.
The solution? Unseating Rep. Frank Pallone, the rep he cites as “everything wrong with Congress today.”
Fegler contends that, after serving in Washington for almost 40 years, Frank Pallone has led to little benefit for the district encompassing Monmouth and Middlesex counties.
”We have seen costs rise for our working and middle class residents,” said Fegler. “Government has gotten too big and too expensive, and now we have a border that is essentially wide open, bringing harmful drugs into our communities and lowering our quality of life.”
That is why Fegler, an esteemed marketing executive, decided to run as a Republican for Congress.
Fegler notes that Pallone’s shortcomings aren’t limited to just Republican anxieties. Pallone failed to deliver a victory for First Lady Tammy Murphy in her home county. “He couldn't even get Monmouth County Democrats to back his support for coronating Tammy Murphy for a Senate seat," Fegler stated.
Fegler has pledged to be a fresh voice who will represent the whole district, with a special focus on the southern border, the economy, and energy issues. “I will make sure to increase our funding for key local and larger projects at home while committing to fiscal responsibility,” said Fegler.
”I also want to make sure all of our district's racial and ethnic communities are sharing in economic growth,” he emphasized.
The longevity of Pallone and other near-half-century politicians is also a major platform for Fegler who pledged to serve no more than twelve years in office.
”We need to get back to a citizen-run government because we are getting dangerously close to the opposite with lifetime representatives and bureaucrats thinking they can run our lives. Instead of stagnation and managed decline, I want to leave Washington and the 6th District better for my constituents than I found out it.”
Fegler is expected to cruise to victory at both Monmouth and Middlesex conventions and has begun assembling a team of veteran operatives to deliver a November victory. More about Scott’s campaign can be found at www.fegler2024.com.
