WATCH: Rep. Smith Defends Israel's Right to Exist

During a speech on the House floor, the Central Jersey Congressman slammed antisemitism at home and abroad.

Washington, D.C.- Republican Congressman Chris Smith (R-Manchester) took to the House floor in support of House Resolution 888—“Reaffirming the State of Israel’s right to exist.”

“Make no mistake Mr. Speaker: antisemitic bigotry is the root of the [United Nation’s] hostility towards Israel which is ugly, evil, and manifests itself in almost every U.N. entity,” said Rep. Smith.

Smith chaired a hearing earlier this month entitled “United Nations Bigotry Towards Israel.” He is a Co-Chair of the Israel Allies Caucus and senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
