VOTE NOW: Interviews and More!
We live for two things: news and content - and we want to bring you the best.
Alright CJN fans - we’ve heard you.
Over the last few weeks, we’ve heard three things. We should probably address those.
This is a right wing/left-wing outlet!
This is local news. It’s stuff locals care about. Do we have a Washington Post size staff with some Breitbart agenda? Nope on both fronts. We’re a small operation here. We try to make up for it by having captivating and exclusive content. While we make clear that opinions expressed in our op-eds are strictly their author’s, we endeavor this to be something that most sites aren’t:
A public forum with a marketplace for all ideas that is free from influence and corporate interest.
Check out our reporting on Colts Neck where we examined and humanized both a conservative board member and the Director of Garden State Equality (who has also been invited to pen an op-ed);
Or perhaps our Feel Good Friday “investigation” of Senator Andrew Zwicker (D) and Assemblyman Brian Bergen (R).
Everyone is invited for an interview, an op-ed, or to be a part of CJN. Don’t like it? We, respectfully, do not care, but-
We DO care about what YOU want to see more of, so please vote!
This isn’t real news!
Then the First Amendment isn’t real — next.
This is just a “fledgling” operation
Jeff Bezos started out making $81,000 a year and sold books in his garage before he bought Amazon and the Washington Post. (Granted, he had a $250k loan from his parents, but you get it).
Ben Bagdikian, made famous by Bob Odenkirk’s portrayal in The Post (2018), was just a rabble-rousing local journalist who was instrumental in breaking the Pentagon Papers story.
Howard Schulz started out as a printer salesman before he put Starbucks on the map.
Mark Cuban sold trash bags door to door.
Everyone starts from somewhere and we hope to grow and serve Central Jerseyans for generations to come.
We have a new website well underway, more diverse op-eds being penned, and some killer interviews on the way.
We can’t build this network without you - we appreciate all of your support and your feedback (and your complaints).
